From time to time, through litigation, an attorney may need copies of a registration and/or the deposit materials within the registration.  There is a specific procedure you have to follow in order to get copies.

​The Copyright Office will not honor a request for a copy of someone else’s work without written authorization from the owner or from his or her designated agent if that work is still under copyright protection, unless the work is involved in litigation.  If it is involved in litigation, written permission from the copyright owner or a litigation statement is required before copies can be made available.

All you have to do is fill out this form, and we will be in touch with you regarding how much the copies will cost.  Our fee is separate from the U.S. Copyright Office Copying fees.

Since we are located just 30 minutes from the U.S. Copyright Office, we can also go to the location and get copies.  This is an hourly service.
