The sound recording copyright symbol is the symbol â„— (the capital letter P enclosed by a circle), and is used to designate copyright in a sound recording.  The P symbol is for phonograph recordings, which is an internationally recognized symbol of protection of your recording.

The symbol refers to the owner of the copyright in the sound recording and should be followed by the date of the recording or re-mastering http://www.dictionary.com/browse/remaster.

The full notice consists of THREE elements,  in the below order.
The symbol, the year date of first publication, the name of the first owner.

Below is an example, which shows the correct use of the symbol.

It is our practical advice that you should not put both symbols simultaneously on your musical works.  The two notices combined may invalidate both notices, place them separately.
Below is an example of an INCORRECT use of the symbols.
